As a contemporary abstract painter on the Central Coast of NSW, Australia, I'm drawn to creating impressions or feelings, rather than a representation of things.

My studio is my happy place.  It's a place of mystery and wonder.  There's never a plan.  Expectation and hope bubble up when I take a blank canvas or wooden panel and start building up layers upon layers of acrylic paint.  As the painting progresses it gives me hints of where it wants to go, until finally - after many twists and turns - it reveals itself.

I know it's finished when I'm intrigued by a compelling composition from a distance and nuanced details up close.  I hope you too feel that hope and wonder when you look at my paintings.
